SpellingJoy Reading

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Effective September 15, 2026. SpellingJoy Reading is operated by Veloris, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company doing business as SpellingJoy.

The short version. We have never sold anyone’s information for money. We do let Meta and Google see which of our grown-up pages you visited, so we can tell which of our adverts actually brought a parent here. California law calls that sharing. The button below stops it, for this browser, straight away. Nothing about your child is involved in any of it.

What we share, exactly

On the grown-up pages only (the home page, sign-up, your account, the weekly summary, and this one) we run a Meta pixel and a Google Ads tag. They report the pages you viewed and whether you started a trial. If you have an account we may also send a one-way scrambled version of your email address, which Meta and Google can match against their own records but cannot read back into an address.

We do this for one reason: to stop paying for adverts that do not work. No money changes hands in the other direction, and we do not sell, rent or trade anything.

What we never share

Nothing about your child. Not their first name, not their birth year, not one thing they did in a lesson. No advertising tag, and no cookie beyond the essential ones, is ever loaded on a screen your child uses. That is enforced in our code by a list of grown-up pages, so a page carries a tag only if it has been named as one; a new lesson screen is excluded by default rather than by somebody remembering to exclude it.

Opt out

Other ways

Use a browser or extension that sends the Global Privacy Control signal: we read it on every visit and treat it as a no before anything loads, with nothing to press. Or choose no on the cookie banner, or the Cookies link in the footer of any page, which is the same switch as the button above. Or write to reading@spellingjoy.com and we will do it for you; an authorised agent may ask on your behalf and we will ask them for proof.

The small print

This choice lives in this browser, because that is where the sharing happens, so opt out again on any other browser or device you use. We will never treat you differently for opting out: nothing about the app changes, no feature is withheld, and the price is the same. The full picture is in the Privacy Policy.
